How to score good in GAMSAT?

Good score in GAMSAT test is requirement for admission in many medical universities and colleges of UK and Australia. GAMSAT stands for graduate Australian medical school admission test and things are pretty clear from its name. It is not much a big medical exam as questions involved in this test are mostly based on reasoning. However a person with sound grip on biology, physics, chemistry and English can score well in GAMSAT test. GAMSAT tests are held once a year in Ireland, Britain and Australia. However depending upon difference in the starting of academic years they are held in different months in these countries.
GAMSAT test is registered and administered by Australian council for educational research. The registration dates are also different in Ireland, Britain and Australia but they usually are in the month January for Britain and Ireland and in the month of august for Britain. Thousands of students appear in this test every year and an estimated figure of around ten thousand students appeared in this exam last year.
This test doesn’t have a long and old history. It was introduced in the mid of 90s by four institutions of Australia who were dealing in the disciplines of medicine. This test was adopted by the institutions of UK in 1999 and onwards and it gained lots of fame in the recent decade. This exam is now a basic requirement for admission in most of the medical colleges and universities of Ireland, Britain and Australia. Usually the institutions demand good CGPA in the graduation from the students along with a recognized graduation degree and a good score of GAMSAT as their eligibility for admissions.
This test is for one entire day. It starts at 8 am in the morning and goes till 4 pm in the evening. It comprises of three sections namely section 1, section 2 and section 3. Each of these sections have a separate time period in which the students are bound to finish that section and when time period for such section ends up it is followed by a short break. Section 3 of the test is most important because section 3 has double weighting in the results of exam. All those who wish to score good in GAMSAT should pay more attention to this section.
Each section of the test has distinction in types of questions and there is time period to answer those questions as well. For example section 1 of the exam has 75 questions based on humanities and social sciences. The students have 100 minutes time to answer those questions. Section 2 of the test is based on essay writing and students are bound to write that in one hour time. Section 3 of the text is based on questions related to physical science. The total number of questions in this section is 110 and the students have 170 minutes to answer those questions. So a bright student can answer most of the questions in a GAMSAT exam very well and thus can get a good overall score.
