Istanbul has the Most Diverse Culture

There are only few cities in the world where people of different ethnicity, races and religion live together happily. Istanbul is one of the leading one among them because Christians, Muslims, Pagans, Whites, Asians and many other kind of people are happily living together as natives of this city.
Istanbul is the only city which is half present in Asia and half present in Europe. The city has great history because it remained the Capital of Roman Empire for many centuries. Its old name was Constantinople named after the famous Roman Emperor Constantine.
The Roman Empire was non-Christian Empire before Constantine. He was the first Roman Ruler who openly embraced Christianity and declared it the state Religion. There were times before Emperor Constantine when professing Christianity was a sin even in the Roman Empire but it changed with Constantine’s acceptance as a ruler.
Muslims Conquered Constantinople in the 15th century and brought a new culture to this City. It was named as Istanbul and it remained the Capital of Ottoman Empire for several centuries. Later in the 20th Century this city was again conquered by a Turk and the city has turned modern ever since.
The city still has wonderful architecture of both the big Empires. However Istanbul is counted as one of the most modern cities of the world today. You should search the cheapest hotels for staying at Istanbul while planning to visit it because there is more to enjoy in the city rather then staying in the room.
